First Baptist Church exists to

Love God, Love People and Serve Others.

Love God happens when we:
meet for worship each Sunday at 11:00 A.M.  Our worship style is Contemporary Christian.  We include songs which praise, songs which inspire and songs which offer hope and guidance to anyone seeking to grow in their faith.  Please join us – we have no formal dress code, but casual to business casual is appropriate.

Love People and Serve Others happens when we:
work together to meet the needs of people in our church and community.  Our world desperately needs what only God can provide.  We seek to be His hands and feet not only within the walls of our church, but also in various community activities.  Some of those include:

• “Cowboy Church” during the annual Salinas Valley Fair – our pastor and praise team lead an early worship service for exhibitors and vendors who are unable to leave the fairgrounds to attend a “regular” worship service.
• Faith and Blue Barbeque – honoring our local police department.
• City-wide Trunk or Treat – we hand out candy and Gospel information and use a mural of the empty tomb along with a Roman soldier and an angel in order to emphasize the hope of Christ’s resurrection.
• Mommy Corner at community events – we provide a quiet, private area complete with rocking chair, changing table, wet wipes, etc.  Sometimes a Mom (or a child) needs a break!

In addition, we cooperate with other churches to spread the Gospel in our region, our state, our nation and throughout our world by affiliating with:
